Kat Baranowski (She/Her) Co-Founder
Kat was truly born to share her love of performing. Her background is a dynamic blend of training, teaching, and choreographing that naturally led her to her role as Artistic Director of Curtain Call Performing Arts Company. Proudly rooted in the Binbrook/Hamilton area, Kat trained and competed in dance for over two decades, developing a strong foundation in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, and Acrobatic Arts.
She began her performance journey through the high school co-op ArtSmart program, where she appeared as a featured dancer in Beauty and the Beast and as the Scarecrow in The Wiz. Over the years, she continued to pursue her passion onstage in productions such as Cabaret (Featured Dancer, Neverland Project), Godspell (Ensemble, CCPAC), and in a Contemporary/Heels/Hip Hop performance group that pushed her creative boundaries and expanded her artistry.
Kat’s love for the performing arts naturally evolved into a passion for teaching. She has taught and choreographed for musical theatre productions, competitive dance routines, and youth programs across the GTA, and is a certified instructor through Acrobatic Arts. With over a decade of experience in dance and theatre education, Kat remains committed to her growth as a teaching artist by attending workshops and conferences regularly.
She finds the greatest joy in igniting a love for theatre in others and is honoured to help build a creative, welcoming space at Curtain Call. She’s so glad you’re here and can’t wait to see you shine!
