This program is ideal for youth performers ready to take their skills to the next level. Students receive triple-threat training in acting, singing, and dancing while preparing a fully staged Broadway JR musical. Our first class begins with auditions to assign roles, followed by weekly rehearsals that include character development, scene work, and choreography. All students, regardless of experience, are given opportunities to shine, and everyone performs in full costume with lights, sets, and props. This program fosters commitment, discipline, teamwork, builds friendships and introduces ensemble collaboration while still being welcoming and fun.

It is strongly encouraged that students take the Musical Theatre Ensemble class prior to participating in the Intermediate level class, as it provides valuable foundational experience and helps build the skills and confidence needed for auditioning for a full production.

Four people in colorful costumes perform on a stage with bright green and blue backdrop. They appear to be characters from the Wizard of Oz, including Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.

FAQs

  • No prior experience is required! Our Intermediate Musical Theatre program is open to all performers ages 10–18, whether they are just starting out or have been on stage before. Students will learn at their own pace in a supportive environment, with everyone receiving featured moments in the show. That said, students who have taken part in our Musical Theatre Ensemble or similar programs may feel more confident heading into auditions and rehearsals. No matter their background, we’re here to help every performer grow!

  • Mandatory dates are essential to the success of the production and the safety and confidence of all performers. Each cast member plays a crucial role, and missing key rehearsals or performances affects not only their own preparation but also the entire ensemble. Tech week is when we finalize staging, lighting, cues, and transitions—these cannot be learned or adjusted last minute. Absences during mandatory dates create disruptions and place extra pressure on the rest of the team. For this reason, we require full commitment to mandatory dates in order to participate in the program.

    • 100% refund will be given prior to the first day of classes | a $75 Admin Fee will be charged

    • 50% refund will be given after the first class

    • There are no refunds following the first class / or casting decisions. Which ever comes first.

  • Students will have the option to purchase a show shirt if they wish. The only additional costs that may arise are for required footwear and undergarments specific to the production. If CCPAC retains these items after the show, reimbursement arrangements can be made.
